The innovative materials and the multi-disciplinary optimization play a fundamental role in determining accuracy, productivity and cost-efficiency of a machine, allowing better results compared to machines built with traditional materials  

Because of their peculiarity, non conventional materials require different design policies from those used with traditional materials: innovative materials require the re-designing of the component.

This process, apparently long and complex, can be streamlined through automated design procedures, based on multi-disciplinary optimization, which allow to rapidly analyse a high number of design alternatives, highlighting the one which offers the best performance/cost ratio.

Sintesi supports the design of high-performance machines, through:

• Development of numeric models for simulation and optimization;
• Production of virtual prototypes which include all the critical aspects of the system;
• Experimental tests on prototypes and on working machines;
• Performance tests, rapid identification and localization of faults and critical points. 

In particular Sintesi is able to design composite material components as carbon fibre: thanks to its high-developed know how on materials and automatization of design procedures, it has re-designed a component -the Z axis of Optimo Evoluzione- by using right a carbon fibre composite, CFRP, which allows higher dynamic performance than traditionally used materials. 

Thanks to MDO, the industrial production costs were reduced and the performance of the machine was improved.
